Great Customer Service From Lowe's
Just over a year ago, I purchased a new washing machine from Lowe's. It was a water-saver machine without an agitator. What a mistake that was. It never seemed to have enough water, some of the clothes would come out dry (well, I guess I saved on dryer time). I had no control over the cycles. If I tried to change anything during the cycle, it would drain and start over.
We kept going to the store and asking the salesman about it. His answer, "Well, it is low-water". We finally called and had a tech come out. He said it was set too low (no kidding) and he replaced the electronic panel.
Oh, wow, everything went wrong after that. Drain and Spin became fill the washer four times to the brim and drain and spin, then do it again. Rinse didn't work at all, just kept filling and draining, filling and draining. This was low-water usage???
We called Lowe's Customer Service and were told they would resolve the issue. Several days later, we called again since we hadn't heard anything.
Surprise, we were told that Lowe's would buy back our rascally washer machine and send us a check within 10 days. We couldn't believe it. But, they did. We ordered a new washer (this time it has an agitator, and nothing to do with low-water. No electronics either, just knobs that you turn. I can control everything). (Not quite this retro).
And within 10 days, we received a check for the price of the original washing machine.
