My favorite Orchid is blooming-Does that make her a Christmas Orchid

My favorite Orchid is blooming-Does that make her a Christmas Orchid

I’m sharing her with you because she is just lovely. She’s not red or green but how can you not love those soft peaches, lilacs and yellows?

Orchids bloom all year in Florida. And, Craig grows them all outside (we have about 30); we only take them in when it hits freezing here which does happen once or twice a winter, usually in January or February.

I hope you enjoyed my Orchid (Craig grows them; but they are my orchids).

What a gorgeous color orchid.  They are so lovely, and it wonderful that Craig grows them for you, and they are YOURS.  Ron often trims my lemon tree, and my princess tree, I know how it works among us royal types. lOL A

I like the fact that you can have a grower who is understanding about your flowers. He must be a special man!

Sharon - thank you. We do enjoy them.

Ceil - they grow very easily; most people over do their care. They seem to thrive on neglect ;)

Dale - thanks; I agree.

Rich - I like that too!

Tom - he sort of knows that even if I buy an orchid for him--it's mine :)

So lucky you can grow them year round Toni, and your garden must be stunning with 30 of them!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful photograph. Looks to me like this is an official Christmas orchid!

Good Sunday morning. We have a beautiful day in Maryland. Have a great week and enjoy the holidays as you prepare for an outstanding new year.

This is a good time of the year to visit Colonial Williamsburg.  Dolores and I like to see all of the decorations that are made with natural materials.

Rob - thank you.

Barbara Jo- yes, they are. And, they love our backyard.

Sheila - they don't all bloom at the same time so most of the time it's just one or two. The orchid plant itself is kind of ugly unless it's blooming :)

Roy - thank YOU for the beautiful Williamsburg wreath. I love it.

Toni,  When I first looked at the picture, I thought that was a pale daffodil.  Very pretty.  Wonder if it would survive in Colorado.  NOT!!!  It was 20 degrees yesterday tromping around in the snow.  Oh what fun...

Toni, that orchid would not bloom up here --- too COLD!    I wish we could SMELL your orchid, it is beautiful!

Jeanean - it must be. Thank you.

Belinda - I don't think so; I almost lost it in GA when we lived up there.

Joan - this one doesn't have much of a scent. Some others are really strong.
