At the Flights of Wonder exhibit at Animal Kingdom, the members of the audience were asked to participate. The man wanted to take pictures of the birds while he was on stage, but his camera wasn’t working. The vulture decided to help him.
I had no idea that I took this picture but I love it! Can you just hear him saying: “I don’t like that one - I want a re-take.”

Toni,
What a beautiful vulture! I have not seen one with this coloring, and yes the people are brave. I am used to the turkey vultures (aka tv's) we had in Napa. Thanks for adding to my bird information. A
Alexandra - I wish I could remember what type he is. I was just heading over to Google to see if I can find him. We only have tv's here too.
I can only imagine that no good will come out in the end; so to speak Toni...
Toni: You are right about being brave. I don't think I would have been as willing.
Great shot! Never a bad day at Animal Kingdom... well.... unless you don't have an umbrella! :)
Awesome shot Toni ~ You're right those are brave souls to sit there without an umbrella :) I bet this ends up in the bird feature group!
Digital cameras are great for the quick retake, but I would have wanted taht umbrella you mentioned!
Umbrella, please. Toni--love the humor and or lessons you find in so many things. Nice to be in touch again.
Mary
Toni, We like the way you can always find the "fun" opportunities in your photos!
Toni, that is a great photo....great shot. I wonder what the man would say if he could see your photo. I just love photography and this shot is great!
Toni, that is one GIANT bird, and they do need something to protect their heads, just in case.....
The colors in that bird are just awesome - I love the photo too!
Toni, People can be stupid or really brave. What do you think he was? Have a great day.
Hi Toni,
Good think he wasn't wearing a toupee as that bird might have thought it was road kill. The colors are pretty as I usually see dark gray and black ones around here. Great shot Toni! Thanks for sharing.
The vultures agent will have something to do with it.
That bird does seem to be looking over their shoulders, to make certain they got a good shot of him, doesn't he:-)
That's a pretty big bird and would take a pretty big umbrella! haha- GREAT!
Toni ....right place at the right time ,.....Nice!
Hi Toni,
Amazing how big those vultures are! At least this one seems good natured.
thanks everyone for commenting on my big bird! I think he may be a condor but can't find info on him. The people didn't know they were going to release him and were quite surprised!
Mary - if we don't have a little fun with our posts, they would be kind of boring :)
John - he was but then he is well-fed and taken care of.
That's a great photo. Is he part of the "show". I see that he will be released soon. THat's great news for everyone around.
Jennifer - yes, he's a big star of the show; and no, he won't be released into the wild. I meant released to the stage. Thanks.
Hi Toni, That's funny. It never fails for me that I have a great moment to take a photo and the camera acts up. Hopefully this person got what he wanted. What a big bird! And yes brave people!
Hope you and Craig are well!
Gloria
We are well, Gloria. So glad you enjoyed the picture! Say hello to Doug for us.
