The Emerging Artists Program of Pasco County Schools at Arts Fest at The Shops at Wiregrass

The Emerging Artists Program of Pasco County Schools at Arts Fest at The Shops at Wiregrass

The Suncoast Arts Fest was last weekend at the Shops at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. Pasco County’s own Emerging Artists were on display with many of their wonderful exhibits. The Arts Fest was sponsored by Wesley Chapel Nissan.

The Arts Fest is poduced by “Fine Arts of the Suncoast, Inc.” a non-profit organization that helps promote cultural awareness in Pasco County. Pictures were donated by speed-painter, Tim Decker and proceeds went to  help supplement funding for arts education in schools

Here is Mawra one of the students who was manning the Emerging Artists booth when we came by.

What a great program to help the young people get started in the arts.

Toni, it looks like imagination is alive and well in Pasco County Florida. This is a great way to make a difference by showcasing some new emerging talent and bring value to your community. Great localism post.

Tony, wonderful Localism post for your area. Young Artists need to be supported and this is a wonderful effort to support the Arts. We have lost so much when we lost the Arts in our educational systems. It is good to see efforts to support Art Programs. You might take a peek over at my place. I think you have a mention over there!

Toni, I have always been partial to artists, my grandfather made a living painting, my mother was a hobby painter and giving her paintings as gifts to friends and family, so I really enjoyed this post.....brought back memories and it is nice to see that the Artists are not fading away with texting and e-mails:))

Glad to know that some of the funds will be donated to support arts in the local schools.  Art and music programs in most local schools are in dire need of support.  Those programs are usually the first programs that get cut when most school district have problems meeting their budget.

Hi Toni, This looks to be a wonderful program and delighted that you have shared it us. These local artfests and the community support are so important to keep these art programs going  to inspire the younger generations.

I love these artist booths.  We have abunch of these around the city as well and I cannot help but stop and browse when I see them.  It's a great opportunity to take a quick "break" from real estate without missing a beat.

Emily -  thank you. I think they deserve all the help we can give them

Jeanean - thank you for mentioning me-how very nice of you.

Endre - my Mom painted landscapes- I have several around so I love art and artists too.

Michele - you're so right; the schools cut there first and we've had heavy cuts for the past two years.

William - I agree. We used to have so much when I was in school (back in the day); I can't believe how much has been cut.

Tom - yes, it can and we all need to be helping our own communities!

Karen - thank you. We all have to help each other and our young people.

Rob - There was great stuff there.

Larry & Sheila - we do have a busy community and there is always something that someone needs help with.

Kwee - the weather has been so wonderful that the outdoor festivals are doing great this year.

Jennifer - I used to love walking in different areas of the city where all the outdoor markets were. So much fun and it does give you a break from the hectic life.

Hi Toni, These types of programs and shows are so good for young artists to get feedback from the public.  Such variety and styles in their art.
