The Chasco Coronation Ball is presented each year by the Lighthouse for the Blind-It's An Evening of Anticipation

Each year, one of the opening events for Chasco Fiesta in New Port Richey-FLorida is the Coronation Ball. A King and Queen are chosen out of the many nominees from each non-profit organization. Nominees are chosen by each organization (usually the people who are volunteer the most time). Chasco Fiesta is a week-long event to help non-profits earn money for their community support.

Everyone looks forward to dressing up and showing off. The excitement builds during the evening as we chat, and enjoy dinner. Finally, the big parade begins and all the nominees make their way up to be presented to the current King Pithla and Queen Chasco.

Then the moment we were all waiting for: a new King and Queen are chosen. They serve for the entire year and wear their crowns to represent the Chasco Fiesta.

This year’s Queen is the lady in red, Cindy Ewald, in the center of the collage (taken before the announcement). She’s very deserving of the honor and we were all so happy for her. King Pithla is Bob Memoli, a fellow Realtor, he has been nominated 18 years in a row-this is his first time as King. He was really excited!! The royal names come from the Pithlachascotee River that runs right through the heart of New Port Richey-Florida.

Linda Reardon was our  SPCA Suncoast nominee. Linda is a member of my board, a foster parent, and a volunteer at many of our events. She's the lady in the pretty turquoise outfit with me at the top of the collage.

Chasco Fiesta is over and now we have to wait a whole year for the next one. :(

Toni, this does look like it would be very fun to attend, and to see everyone all dressed up!    Your collage shows how much fun it was!

Hi Toni,

I hope all went well with the event. Looks like all had a good time. After all is'nt that what you were after? A good time?

It's always a good thing to keep in touch with friends and family we don't get to see on a daily basis.

Best, Clint McKie

Keller Williams - we did have a fun evening.

Joan - It is great because usually when we see each other volunteering we aren't dressed up.

Barbara Jo - We did! I thought you were at Wall Springs Park right now?

Clint - thank you. Hope you had a great birthday.

Toni: What a neat way to give something back to those who volunteer so much of their time and energy to help others.

Good morning Toni -

The Chasco Coronation Ball presented each year by the Lighthouse sounds like a really unique and cool event in helping others. I was sure you were going to say you had been crowned this year!

Have a great Sunday in all you do my friend. I dub you Realtor® Queen for the day :)

Your collage is first-class Toni and the Chasco Cornoation Ball looks like a great time will be for all who attend. We're pretty sure you're going to be there and look forward to your great photos of this event!

Toni,

What a lovely description of your Chasco event.  Like John, I was expecting to see you on the throne, and I  second the Queen title, and not just for the day!  Happy Sunday, A

Happy Fiesta! They will also be having the San Antonio Fiesta here in San Antonio; definitelly a great time of the year to celebrate.

Toni, I'm glad that the Chasco Fiesta was such a success this year...and yes, I know waiting till next year's Chasco Fiesta seems long, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait! :)

A delightful combination -- a good time for a good cause!  That's a wonderful tradition, recognizing the most dedicated volunteers by making them king and queen.  What an honor even to be nominated!

Posted by Dianne Goode, Realtor/Broker (Raleigh Cary Realty) about 2 years ago

Dianne - It is an honor to be nominated. I was last year and it was so much fun.
