That's one fat cat. The lizards seem to be everywhere. Last trip to Florida on 2005 they were everywhere.

What a great picture Toni!  Made me smile.  We've got a family of lizards that live outside on our back patio that are very fun to watch - when they don't notice we're watching.  They come at dush when the lights come on, the bugs come on and it's dinner time!

Love those little lizards....  Great photo.  Too bad your live cat won't give the lizard a ride.

Betty - I think, like Clint said, he needs to be on a diet. But that's what make him so charming ;)

Belinda - true, even the egrets, and other big birds gobble them up.

Clint - we do have lizards everywhere here. We have a lot of natural areas and the lizards love it.

Anna - glad it made you smile (me too). Dinner time is fun to watch (not for the bugs, of course).

Ralph and Jeanne - first, I love your new profile picture. You guys looking all dignified and such! My cat would probably eat him before he would give him a ride.:)

What a great garden cat...And the lizard is a fun perspective.  Kobe brings home lizards to play with, and like the snakes, he doesn't kill them, as on occasion has sneaked them into the house...Life is never dull with cats!  A

The lizard probably loves the higher perch that your stone cat provides.  It's a great hunting perch!

Lizards think they own our backyard. Dixie dawg chases them most escape without harm. She has caught two which she then played with the rest of the day and had to have a b-a -t- h before bedtime. I have to spell it out in case she is reading over my shoulder. Our dog child you know :) Go Lizards.....

Toni, we don't have lizards in my area and when I first saw them in Florida and SC I jumped.  But, realized they will not hurt you and they eat the bugs :)  Like your lawn cat, but you can keep the lizards :)

Toni~ Love your garden cat.  I'm going to have to get one for my backyard!  It would look great among the wildflowers that I want to have back there!

Toni, now htat's the perfect kind of cat to have.  Hmmm.  No kitty litter boxes for this fellow.

Hi Toni, That cat looks fat and happy and the liizard seems to like the texture and easy to relax surfaces. Very cool. I took several photos of our lizards out here and when I did them close up, I was surprised to see the colored diamonds on the back. I see them all the time and they do not have much color until you see the close ups.

I think you're right, Jennifer. It also affords a great lookout for him for running away.

Dixie is a very smart d-o-g, John.

Rebecca - I think most people jump when they first see them. It's a natural reaction to something small and quick.

Donna - he does look great among the flowers. He was in the middle of my geraniums but I had to take them all out; they went wild.

Carl - it is a great place especially since I love all the critters out there.

William - they can be very pretty. I'm partial to the green ones but we don't see those that often.
