The lizards love to play on my garden cat. What’s not to like, he’s in the garden, he’s in the sun, and he’s easy to climb, and most importantly, he never reaches out with that big paw to grab them.
Happy Friday, Everyone.

Your photo is adorable. I can understand why the lizards like to play on the garden cat. He is rather charming.
Happy Friday to you also.
Betty
Toni, Hopefully they don't try that with a real kitty. They might get more than a little sunning.
Hi Toni,
You feed the cat way too much. LOL
That's one fat cat. The lizards seem to be everywhere. Last trip to Florida on 2005 they were everywhere.
Good to see they have a safe place to play and live in your garden.
Have a great day in New Port Richey, Florida.
Best, Clint McKie
What a great picture Toni! Made me smile. We've got a family of lizards that live outside on our back patio that are very fun to watch - when they don't notice we're watching. They come at dush when the lights come on, the bugs come on and it's dinner time!
Love those little lizards.... Great photo. Too bad your live cat won't give the lizard a ride.
Betty - I think, like Clint said, he needs to be on a diet. But that's what make him so charming ;)
Belinda - true, even the egrets, and other big birds gobble them up.
Clint - we do have lizards everywhere here. We have a lot of natural areas and the lizards love it.
Anna - glad it made you smile (me too). Dinner time is fun to watch (not for the bugs, of course).
Ralph and Jeanne - first, I love your new profile picture. You guys looking all dignified and such! My cat would probably eat him before he would give him a ride.:)
Toni: He has a good view of the garden from way up there...the king of his castle (or the cat's head).
Hi Toni,
Your lawn cat and lizard made me smile! I am so fascinated by the lizzards. They really make gardening fun.
What a great lawn cat too! I wish you a very Happy Friday too! :)
Continue to enjoy all of life's simple pleasures. You're a great friend in the Rain.
Sooo cute! I'm glad the lizard is safe with that smiling garden cat. Have a great weekend!
Toni,
What a great garden cat...And the lizard is a fun perspective. Kobe brings home lizards to play with, and like the snakes, he doesn't kill them, as on occasion has sneaked them into the house...Life is never dull with cats! A
Another great picture, Toni! I love the cat's posture & expression with the lizard on his head- It's as if he's saying, "A lizard on my face? Eh- No big deal!" :) Thanks for sharing!
Happy Friday to you, Toni! I love the photo and always enjoy your posts! Enjoy a great weekend.
Cute photo and neat title, too. Love visiting your site, Toni. Your inspiration helps me come up with ideas. See you later.
Anita - he surely does.
Patricia - thank you. I love the silly creatures too.
Regina - no worries there! Thanks, have a lovely weekend.
Alexandra - I can't believe Kobe is such a forward-thinking nature lover and doesn't kill the creatures. Shayna has killed a couple that had the misfortune to come into our porch and get trapped.
Andrew - he's sort of used to it, I think. :) have a great weekend.
David - thank you. You have a fun weekend too.
Mary - hope you're having a fun day today. Thanks, see you soon.
The lizard probably loves the higher perch that your stone cat provides. It's a great hunting perch!
Lizards think they own our backyard. Dixie dawg chases them most escape without harm. She has caught two which she then played with the rest of the day and had to have a b-a -t- h before bedtime. I have to spell it out in case she is reading over my shoulder. Our dog child you know :) Go Lizards.....
Hope you and Craig have a great Florida weekend.
Toni, we don't have lizards in my area and when I first saw them in Florida and SC I jumped. But, realized they will not hurt you and they eat the bugs :) Like your lawn cat, but you can keep the lizards :)
Toni~ Love your garden cat. I'm going to have to get one for my backyard! It would look great among the wildflowers that I want to have back there!
What a great place to hang-out. Where else but Toni's garden.
Have a nice weekend.
Howdy and evening Toni
Toni my friend, the little ole Lizards sure did find a mighty fine spot to enjoy playing. Your photo sure is outstanding looking, as always!
Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
Toni, now htat's the perfect kind of cat to have. Hmmm. No kitty litter boxes for this fellow.
I think you're right, Jennifer. It also affords a great lookout for him for running away.
Dixie is a very smart d-o-g, John.
Rebecca - I think most people jump when they first see them. It's a natural reaction to something small and quick.
Donna - he does look great among the flowers. He was in the middle of my geraniums but I had to take them all out; they went wild.
Carl - it is a great place especially since I love all the critters out there.
Dale - thank you-you enjoy your weekend!
Patricia - but no purring or loving either :)
William - they can be very pretty. I'm partial to the green ones but we don't see those that often.
Hi Toni,
Your big cat is adorable and I can see why the lizards like to sun themselves on it. Happy Saturday!
Kristin - I'm partial to the cat. He looks so happy. Thanks, enjoy your weekend.
Nick - I think you're right.
