Didn’t You Get The Memo? It’s Spots, Not Stripes, Today

These two seemed to be having a conversation and I wondered what on earth they could be talking about. Do Giraffes and Zebras even speak the same language?

Giraffe and Zebra

Someone, obviously, didn’t get the memo.

It happens to me a lot :)

Hi Toni,

I guess one or the other did'nt get the memo. LOL

Too funny, they don't speak the same language until one or the other is mad. Then they know what the other is saying.

Have a great day in New Port Richey, Florida.

Best, Clint McKie

Great shot.  Some of the fall fashions have stripes and spots mixed together.

Have an outstanding week and be sure to have your camera in hand when you are out and about.

Hi Toni, How cute! I was just at the San Diego zoo and saw many Striped and spotted animals and birds. Mother Nature gives us such beauties to enjoy.

How cute is that?  Such a clever title for the picture Toni!  I sometimes am amazed at how folks will all show up in the same color at work or an event.  Even without getting the memo.  Recently, my grandson and I went out for dinner at a Reno Casino Buffet.  He was wearing an orange shirt.  We walked in, and all the waiters were wearing orange, and it seemed a large population of customers were as well.  I felt out of place:-)

CONGRATULATIONS on having this photoblog FEATURED in the Photos group!  The picture and title match perfectly, even if the spots and stripes don't:-)

Very cute picture.  I always wonder how animals communicate.  We know they must.

Posted by Belinda Spillman, Colorado Living! (Aspen Lane Real Estate Colorful Colorado) over 5 years ago

Roger :) me too.

Jeanne & Ralph - thanks.

Clint - you could be right although do Giraffes ever get mad?

Kristin - thank you. You too!

Roy - some animals have that too.

Joni -you're welcome. thanks.

Than - maybe that's what they were talking about.

Kristin- animals and birds are very beautiful; I love taking their pictures.

Myrl - sometimes at a meeting, I'll look around and half the folks their are wearing the same color. It is amazing. Maybe there's a red day, orange day, blue day somewhere. I love your story! And, thank you for the feature in the Photos group.

Belinda - I'm sure they do. Probably mostly with body and facial movements. (like I'm an expert :)

Toni, I don't know if they speak the same language, but I am sure that they have a universal phrase for "Run, the lions are getting closer."  LOL Great photo!

Toni, great shot and ditto what Tony & Darcy said, "Run, the lions are getting closer." :)

Hi Toni, the giraffle and zebra looks like talking to each other. Are you "Doctor Dolittle" and can interpret?

I guess, just as long as you are not wearing spots and stripes together!  LOL!  Fashion police!

Toni,

This photo reminded me of an Albert Einstein quote, and I think that this is what these lovely creatures are saying,

“Once you can accept the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something, wearing stripes with plaid is easy.”

In this case it is plaid...A

Hi Toni.  Great photo -- they certainly do look like they're talking something over, and maybe it is the dress code!  I really like Alexandra's quote, above.  I'm not sure I've ever heard it before.
