Vincent Van Gogh Would Be So Jealous

Vincent Van Gogh Would Be So Jealous, he painted several different versions of sunflowers so I tried a few different photo edited versions of this photo I took yesterday. I used iPiccy to create these versions. iPiccy is one of the easiest editing programs to use, it’s totaly free and you don’t have to register. I prefer it to Ribbet which as far as I’m concerned never reached the potential of Picnic. IPiccy has so many different editing tools.

This one is the original one that I edited for sharpness and added a frame and my name to. One of the most important edits you can and should do is to sharpen your picture a bit. It brings out the vitality of the subject; especially with views. Don’t over sharpen because you can end up with snow all over the picture. I see a lot of pictures posted that make me itch to use a sharpness edit on them; they would look so much more interesting.

Sunflower framed

This one I edited in Weave for fun; I like it.

Sunflower weave

This is a neon edit. Neon is cool because you can choose your color;
this one is red neon.

Sunflower neon

This edit version is Shine.

Sunflower shine

I use iPiccy for collages too now. It has great choices.

Sunflower collage

And it is so easy to add your copyright to the photo in iPiccy but that's the next lesson.

IPiccy is not a download program, you use it on the internet; there is an option for storage on your computer; and, did I mention, it's free.

I bet Vincent would be so jealous of our photo editing programs.

Yes, he would be jealous, for several reasons.  You had the advantage of doing this with both ears.  Did you hear me?  Both ears.............. Two.........not one, two ears!  What fun these photos are..............

Roger - ears, schmears, that won't help him now :)

Richard - it is so easy to use.

Kristin - sometimes it's just fun to see what would happen if and you don't have to save it if you don't like it.

Thank you, Barbara. And I'm sure he would be on ActiveRain too.

Edward - there is a lot of programs but this is one of the best. I've tried them all.

Brenda - Thank you, I love the original too.

HI Toni.  I love love love iPiccy!  I use it to tweak all my listing photos before I post them.  IPiccy does it all, including reduce the image size so it loads faster on a website.   Clearly I don't know everything there is to know yet -- how did you do the self-border you used in the first photo??

Posted by Dianne Goode, Realtor/Broker (Raleigh Cary Realty) over 5 years ago

Dianne that's called a mirror frame. It's one of the frame choices.

Oh, I'm such of a fan of easy to use editing software.  You've sold me on giving iPiccy a try.  I have numerous pricey editing software programs and agree that "sharpen" is one of their best tools for our real estate pics, etc.  I love your pics and use of iPiccy.  Thanks for sharing.

Ed - definitely. The first one is my favorite too.

Rich - that's so funny!

Chris & Dick - thank you. That is an interesting one and I need to think how I can use it.

Is this a Mac or PC app? How would you compare it to Picassa?
Posted by Deb Nicholls, Realtor - ABR, LCM, e-Pro (Keller Williams Boston North West) over 5 years ago

Deb - I use Picasa too. I upload to it and then when I'm done doing what I want in Picasa, I take it into iPiccy. There are many things that iPiccy can do so much easier and there are many things that Picasa doesn't offer. Since I don't have a Mac, I don't know if it works on it.
