It’s Best To Let Sleeping Tigers Lie - Animal Kingdom in Disney

It’s Best To Let Sleeping Tigers Lie - Animal Kingdom in Disney

Enjoying a bit of high noon sun, a lucky tiger snoozes away at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. He’s a beautiful animal and just wants to be left alone to grab some z’s.

Tiger Sleeping - Animal Kingdom

The best time to go to Animal Kingdom is as early as the park opens; you want to have water with you for the trek and dress for the heat and humidity; wear loose, cotton clothing, comfortable shoes, and hats to shade your skin. Wear sunblock too.

The tiger exhibit can get quite crowded if the tigers are up and moving around; otherwise, no-one is interested in watching a sleeping tiger (except me). A confrontation occurs....

But then, peace is restored and everyone goes their own way.

Then it's back to sleep for a while.

Come to Florida and don't miss Animal Kingdom in Disney World, Orlando - a place where you can watch the tigers.

The bird show is fantastic too.

If you're thinking of moving to Florida, give us a call. We sell homes on the west coast, just north of Tampa in Trinity, New Port Richey, and Hudson.

Toni - great pics! I've been to Animal Kingdom several times, and have not seen the tigers be this active.

Toni, My husband is especially intrigued watching animals in person or on TV. He can spend hours.

Carol - you have to wait and watch.

Dorie - always worth the  viewing.

Debbie - me too. I can never understand how people can just walk by them.

Anita - they are aristocratic.

Joanna - Shayna thinks she is one :)

Joan - they are giant kitties--you should see their paws!

Thanks, Tony.

Kristin - I haven't either and at least here they have a huge area to roam in.

Myrl - you are absolutely right! LOL

Alexandra - Myrl always knows what to say.

Dale - They are wonderful to watch.

Our zoo structures make it hard to see the cats when they are sleeping. Great pictures Toni!

Hi Toni, you're right, best time at DAK is early morning hours when it's still cool, especially with tigers, they won't come out in the heat. You've captured great photos!

Animal Kingdom looks like a place everyone should see at least once in their lifetime and if you're lucky enough to see it more often, you will not be disappointed.

I have not been there but it sure looks like a lot of fun and those Tigers are thrilling - even if the first one is sleeping.

Your photo stories are inspiring!!!
