Bird Watching At Animal Kingdom, Orlando FL

Bird watching at Animal Kingdom, Orlando FL is always fun whether they are in the aviary or loose around the park. The bird here is sitting on the fountain wall getting delicately misted. It was 78* the day I took this picture, and in the aviary several degrees warmer. I think this is a very smart bird; maybe smarter than the people looking at him.

Bird Watching At Animal Kindgom, Orlando FL

While Animal Kingdom is not a large theme park like some others at Disney, it's perfect for an early morning walkabout. If you go, don’t dash from one exhibit to another, take time to really appreciate the creatures you can see there. We also love the tiger and gorilla exhibits (they are usually up early too).

Wonderful photo Toni, I wish I lived closer. I'd love to go stroll through the exhibits in the morning at Animal Kingdom. That's the best time to just admire them.

Hello Toni, Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite theme parks. You've captured a great photo, looks so live. We are fortunate to live so close to many attractions and of course great weather is a bonus.

Toni: I love how you really take advantage of being so close to all the theme parks in your area. The Animal Kingdom would be on my regular stop list.

That fountain is for the birds!!!  How cute is this guy.  He is a smart cookie.  A little mist and the relaxation of the trickling water.

Hello Toni,  Great picture of this interesting looking bird.  I wonder how many people got pictures of him.

Very nice photo Toni. 78 degrees sounds pretty nice to me, we got up to the 40's.

Hi Toni, Until I started in Photography, birds were not as interesting to me. Now, to capture them, is a real joy.

Sounds like a great resource to have in the community.  Locally we have the Binder Park zoo which is a great place to visit.

We usually have to go to the National Zoo for our bird pictures.

Thanks for sharing your photograph.

One of the things I have always enjoyed about Florida has been the abundance of exotic plants, animals and birds.  I remember eons ago visting Monkey Jungle and Parrot Jungle near Miami;  I wonder if they are still there?

Thanks everyone, it seems like I'm so busy that I can't comment back to each of you. I will try to do better in the future.

Susan- I don't know the answer to that but you could Google them :)

Toni, what a better way to start off a beautiful day than to take a walk around the Animal Kingdom and connect with these wonders of nature.

People of all ages love watching birds nibble on their backyard bird feeders. It is relaxing and an interesting hobby. Every home should have at least one bird feeder in its yard!
