Pinterest Delicious and SEO Too

Pinterest Delicious and SEO Too

I'm still fairly new to Pinterest and I have a lot to learn but I found that boards (pages to the uninducted) have quite a bit of power. Some of my boards show up on Google in first or second place positions.

Boards should have your website and your name and company name; that gives you lots of power. Individual pins of your own also can show up on Google.

I know many of you think Pinterest is a waste of time but if you share your blogs on a local board that you created; you will probably see it on Google/ In fact, I see some that I don't see from the actual AR-Trulia or WordPress blog post.

I am completely amazed at re-pins and how many people love certain things. Again with the Avocado, I repinned a pin and it has been repinned from mine 284 times, last time I checked (about 2 weeks ago). I now can't find that one because I placed it on a group board and so many pins have been added since then.

Group boards can mean that your pin gets lost so when you go to look for it, it's buried and you won't see it. If it's one I think I will really try, I have gotten into the habit of pinning it to the group board and to a personal board. That way I know where to find it.

Your local posts and boards can give people all kinds of info about your area. And, who knows, a local person in need of an agent may be watching (or pinning). Here's another good one.

Avocado Bruschetta with Balsamic Reduction Sauce

Prep Time 10 minutes - Cook Time 20 minutes -Total Time 30 minutes -Yield 4 servings

With ripe avocado and juicy grape tomatoes, this is the perfect midday treat or party snack!

Ingredients: Pinterest Delicious And SEO Too

  • 1 baguette, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 avocado, halved, seeded, peeled and diced
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup basil leaves, chiffonade

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place baguette slices onto prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil. Place into oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • To make the balsamic reduction, add balsamic vinegar and brown sugar to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a slight boil and reduce by half, about 6-8 minutes; set aside and let cool.
  • In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, avocado, remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Top each baguette slice with tomato mixture, garnished with basil.
  • Serve immediately, drizzled with balsamic reduction.

Toni, Our patio home and landominium board shows up page 1 for some of our key search terms.  And our WP site most days shows 1-5 referrals over from Pinterest.  Not huge, but interested people and that's what we want

Toni~ I'm still learning about Pinterest and I'm having a great time with it. Spending about 30 minutes or so a day and that seems to be enough, at least for now.

I love Pinterest and have a lot of boards but have not used it for real estate.  I really need to get a game plan for that.  Recipe looks great.  I pinned so many recipes that I made 4 separate boards:  Breakfast, Desserts, Favorite Recipes and Drinks and Punches.  It helped in finding one when I wanted it.

Love Pinterest!  I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's my last corner of the internet that is mine.  IE work free... for now.  I've dabbled in trying to make it work for my real estate career, but I can't bring myself to fully commit.  I'm having too much fun playing =)

Thank you for the article, very informative. Do you know how I can rename a board? When I first started I "threw" everything into the "real estate" board,

I now understand some of my "pins" should have their own boards. Any suggestions for me on how to do this?? How do you make time to do this daily, with FB & Twitter that needs to be updated on a daily basis too?

Georgette, just set up your new boards and then go to edit (pencil) on the pictures you want to move to them. Change board name to whichever one you want. It will move to the new board and disappear from old board. Sometimes it gets lazy and you have to do it twice

Georgette - one of the best ways to do this is to create a new board for each category you have. You can then do in and "edit" your post and put it into the coordinating board. Yes, there is time you will be putting into this, but the organization alone will be worth it. If you check out my husband's account, I have organized his into rooms, etc. www.pinterest.com/REMAXColberg

After like what three years I think,I finally signed on to Pinterest. I am slowly building my Pinterest Board. Most of my pins are from Business Suits and Gospel Songs. Interesting.
